Unmatched Quaility

We approach every new construction project in San Diego County with a standard that goes beyond minimum compliance. Wiring is routed at consistent elevations and properly secured throughout the framing, with steel nail plate protection at stud penetrations and fire-rated sealing at all openings. Every aspect of the rough-in is intentional — from clean cable alignment and box placement to protected wire paths designed to reduce the risk of fastener damage and simplify future servicing.

This is structured, precision-built electrical work designed not just to pass inspection, but to deliver long-term safety, durability, and reliability. By prioritizing disciplined layout and craftsmanship during construction, we create electrical systems that remain organized, serviceable, and dependable long after the walls are closed. Tokai Electric sets a higher benchmark for new construction electrical installation by executing every project with consistency, technical precision, and uncompromising attention to detail.

Laser Precise Measurements

We use laser-guided layout for every critical measurement during new construction electrical installation in San Diego County, including recessed lighting installation, switch placement, receptacle positioning, and kitchen countertop outlet heights. This precision layout ensures perfect alignment, uniform spacing, and a clean visual finish throughout the home.

Nothing is estimated or eyeballed. Every outlet, switch, and lighting fixture is positioned with measured accuracy so the final installation looks intentional, balanced, and architecturally consistent. This disciplined approach prevents uneven layouts and installation errors while delivering the level of precision expected from a professional residential electrician specializing in high-quality new construction work.

Built to Current Electrical Code Standards

Every new construction electrical panel we install in San Diego County is built with strict organization, safety, and long-term serviceability in mind. As a licensed electrical contractor specializing in residential new construction, we complete every service panel installation with clearly labeled circuits, structured conductor routing, and a clean, accessible layout designed for future maintenance.

A dedicated service loop is maintained on the main feeder to allow safe servicing, and all wiring is arranged to support durability and full compliance with current California Electrical Code standards. Each new construction panel includes whole-home surge protection to safeguard appliances and electronics, along with properly installed AFCI and GFCI protection where required for maximum safety.

The result is a code-compliant electrical panel that serves as a reliable backbone for the home’s entire electrical system — engineered for safe operation, efficient troubleshooting, and decades of dependable performance.

Architectural Lighting & Finish Installation

Our new construction electrical services in San Diego County extend beyond rough-in work to precision finish installation. During the trim phase, outlets, switches, recessed lighting, and under-cabinet LED lighting are installed with exact alignment and consistent spacing to maintain architectural balance throughout the space.

Every device is mounted cleanly, leveled precisely, and positioned according to measured layout standards established during framing. Integrated cabinet lighting, accent lighting, and receptacle placement are completed with attention to symmetry and visual consistency. The result is a finished electrical installation that complements the home’s design while delivering safe, code-compliant performance.

Permitting, Design & Project Documentation

Every new construction electrical project in San Diego County begins with proper planning, permitting, and documentation. We coordinate directly with local building departments to secure required electrical permits and ensure full compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), California Electrical Code, and all applicable city requirements before work begins. While code establishes the minimum legal standard, our installation practices are designed to exceed those requirements wherever practical to deliver enhanced safety and long-term reliability.

Our process includes a detailed project questionnaire and scope documentation to clarify panel sizing, load calculations, lighting layouts, dedicated circuits, EV charging provisions, and future expansion needs. We also review finish lighting fixtures in advance, as many installations require coordination with other trades. Under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, integrated cabinet lighting, and specialty fixtures often require precise placement, framing coordination, and the correct electrical box selection — including shallow, fan-rated, or specialty boxes based on fixture specifications.

The planning questionnaire further addresses final outlet and switch selections, including color, brand, and model preferences. Confirming these details early allows us to provide accurate estimates, prevent scope disagreements, and ensure the finished installation aligns with the overall design of the home.

In addition, we document each phase of the electrical installation with detailed photographs — from rough-in wiring through final trim. This visual record helps homeowners and builders locate wiring pathways inside walls years later during remodels, additions, or upgrades. Organized documentation today simplifies future modifications and protects the integrity of the electrical system long term.

Clear documentation, approved permits, and organized coordination with inspectors, builders, and other trades are fundamental to delivering a smooth, code-compliant new construction electrical installation in San Diego County.

10-Year Rough-In Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our new construction electrical work with up to a 10-year workmanship warranty on rough-in installations. This includes the electrical wiring and infrastructure installed within the walls of the home — the foundation of the entire electrical system.

Because rough electrical work is concealed after drywall, it must be installed correctly the first time. Our disciplined installation practices, structured routing, secure fastening, and code-compliant methods allow us to confidently offer long-term warranty protection on the core wiring system.

A properly installed rough-in should perform safely and reliably for decades. Our extended workmanship warranty reflects the confidence we have in the durability, precision, and long-term integrity of our new construction electrical installations throughout San Diego County.

Solar Panels And Turbines

I completely gutted a house and needed electrical work. The electrical work was top tier and everything works great. Components were recommended that matched the latest trends. Switches, motion sensors, timers, dimmers, etc. were installed and works great. My electrical box was also upgraded in amperage to support electric vehicle charging. LED lights were installed and everything is very efficient.

I would definitely recommend Tokai Electric. They can do it all.
